Upgrade of Gingindlovu Main Street

Sealed tenders, endorsed “Tender: 01/15/16: Upgrading of Gingindlovu Main Street”, must
be hand delivered and placed in the tender box at the Reception at the Municipal Buildings,
Hutchinson Street, Eshowe by no later than 12:00 on Friday, 7 August 2015, where they will be
opened in public in the uMlalazi Committee Room.

Prospective tenderers are requested to take note that the directives applicable in respect of
the B-BBEE as prescribed in the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2011 and the Council’s
Preferential Procurement Policy will be applicable in the adjudication of this tender. This tender will
be evaluated on functionality and the 80/20 point system. Tenderers should have a CIDB contract
grading of 2CE or higher in order to be eligible to submit a tender.

Tender documents will be available at the Municipal Offices in Butcher Street, Eshowe from Friday,
24 July 2015 at a cost of R600.00. Tender documents must be purchased prior to the briefing session
and no tender documents will be sold at the briefing session or on the day of the briefing session.
Only tenderers with tender documents will be allowed at the briefing session. Payments via EFT must
be made before 16:00 the day before the briefing session and proof thereof must be submitted as
confirmation of payment. Payment may be deposited to uMlalazi Municipality as per the following
banking details: First National Bank; Account Number: 52191090523; Branch Code: 220230.

A compulsory briefing session will be held on 28 July 2015 at 10:00 at the Premier Conference
Centre, Butcher Street, Eshowe. Prospective tenderers must ensure that they are at the
briefing session at the stipulated time and only 15 minutes will be permitted thereafter for
admission. There will be no exceptions.
